Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro
Category: Monocular Thermal Vision Devices
Monocular Thermal Vision Device
Unparalleled thermal sensitivity! The thermal image sensor with NETD 25 mK ensures perfect detail detection even in the harshest weather conditions with low thermal contrast.
As the top model in the Helion range, this unit offers extremely high detection ranges and levels of detail. The Helion 2 XP50 Pro is equipped with an extremely powerful thermal imaging sensor and is considered one of the best thermal imaging monoculars in the civilian market. The high sensitivity 640x480 pixel @ 17 µm thermal image sensor gives a sharp and high contrast thermal image for enhanced response.

Variable magnification 2.5х-20x
The up to 8x digital zoom provides improved focus and better recognition of whole objects at long distances. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x increments or continuously for a truly optimal field of view adapted to the situation.
Observation distance 1800 metres
The fast lens F50/1.0 combined with the professional sensor 640x480@17µm promises excellent possibilities in detecting the target object. An object 1.8m standard size can be detected in absolute darkness at a distance of 1800m.
Image Detail Boost Function
Original software function for improved object representation in the observation area. Image detail enhancement significantly increases the sharpness of the visible object, allowing contours to be clearly recognised and small object details (branches, scrawny wood, wires) to be displayed in the field of view, as well as areas with small temperature differences. This function is particularly important for qualitative identification of trophy animals in the hunting area.
«Picture-in-Picture» function
The function shows an enlarged image in the upper part of the display in a frame the size of 10% of the field of view for a more precise zooming of the observation object.
Stadiametric rangefinder
The stadiametric rangefinder has a dynamic scale for measuring distance, which can be used to determine the approximate distance to objects with a known height of 1.7 m (deer), 0.7 m (wild boar) and 0.3 m (rabbit).
High frame rate 50 Hz
Due to the high frame rate (50 Hz), the user gets an interference-free image even when the target object or user is moving.
IPX7 waterproof
The IPX7 protection level guarantees absolute waterproofness against rain, snow and humidity. The design of the device guarantees perfect functioning, even after being submerged for 30 minutes in 1 m of water.
Wide temperature range
The housing, power supply, optics and electronics of the Helion 2 XP50 Pro are designed for applications in a wide temperature range. The Helion ensures reliable and effective performance in freezing temperatures down to ‑25 °C.
User interface
Helion was designed to be easy to use. It has been further developed through user input, and as a result Helion 2 has a handy interface, easy-to-read information mapping, is steerable with pictograms and features an alphanumeric status bar at the top of the display. Internal menu items are displayed on the high-contrast background so that you can adjust your device without losing sight of what is happening through the lens.
Display Off
If the observation is to be stopped for a short time, the user can switch off the display. This function guarantees the shooter to avoid the residual light from the eyepiece, even between observation starts and restarts. (The display remains switched off while all other systems continue to function. To activate the unit, just switch on the display).
External power supply
Helion thermal imagers have a micro-USB interface that allows the e‑feeding of external power supply units such as power banks. The power bank powers the unit even in extremely cold weather and protects it from rapid discharge.
