The Pul­sar For­ward FN455S digi­tal night visi­on mono­cu­lar is a hand­held night visi­on device with high-qua­li­ty work­man­ship. The model is iden­ti­cal to the pre­vious model FN455, but a new IR illu­mi­na­tor has been inte­gra­ted. With new opti­ons for addres­sing at night and in poor wea­ther con­di­ti­ons, the device has estab­lished its­elf opti­mal­ly in hun­ting and ani­mal obser­va­ti­on with an obser­va­ti­on distance of more than 500 meters at night.

Night sensitivity

Thanks to the latest elec­tro­nic com­pon­ents and effi­ci­ent signal pro­ces­sing pro­gram algo­rith­ms, this night visi­on device has one of the hig­hest sen­si­ti­vi­ty para­me­ters in the infrared ran­ge (night sensitivity).

With the FN455S, you can work with a sen­si­ti­vi­ty of 900–950 nm in the deepest twi­light wit­hout an IR emitter.

Over 500 m visi­bi­li­ty at night

High night sen­si­ti­vi­ty, dis­play and sen­sor reso­lu­ti­on, lar­ge ran­ge of bright­ness and con­trast set­tings, high-qua­li­ty high-per­for­mance optics and powerful infrared radia­tor for night-time operation.
In this way, detec­tion ran­ges of up to 500 meters can be achieved.

High night sensitivity

The For­ward F455s uses pro­prie­ta­ry soft­ware and advan­ced elec­tro­nic com­pon­ents to deli­ver one of the hig­hest levels of sen­si­ti­vi­ty in the infrared spec­trum (light sen­si­ti­vi­ty). The result is a device that deli­vers flaw­less night­ti­me per­for­mance in pas­si­ve mode wit­hout tur­ning on the IR illu­mi­na­ti­on. High sen­si­ti­vi­ty in the ran­ge of 900–950 nm enables the device to be used with “invi­si­ble” infrared emitters.

Impro­ved sen­sor and HD resolution

Whe­re the FN155 still work­ed on a sen­sor with 702 x 526 pixels, the FN455s boasts a CMOS sen­sor and a reso­lu­ti­on of 1280×720 HD (HD sen­sor) and thus records signi­fi­cant­ly more image infor­ma­ti­on. This leads to an over­all very good image per­for­mance and detail­ed view.

Rea­dy for imme­dia­te use

For­ward FN swit­ching time is less than 3 seconds after the ON but­ton is activated.

Four-point bayo­net mount with auto­ma­tic cocking

The For­ward con­nects to the com­pa­ny adap­ter using a four-point bayo­net lock. Pul­sar offers three models of adap­ters for moun­ting on telesco­pes with objec­ti­ve dia­me­ters of 40, 42, 50, 56 mm.

Firm­ware Algo­rithm to Increase Sen­si­ti­vi­ty (Sum­Light)

The Sum­Light func­tion increa­ses the sen­si­ti­vi­ty of the sen­sor, which enables obser­va­ti­on even wit­hout an IR illu­mi­na­tor in low light. The sen­sor works with the latest Pul­sar soft­ware, which auto­ma­ti­cal­ly chan­ges the sen­si­ti­vi­ty of the device wit­hout loss of image qua­li­ty by pro­ces­sing algorithms.

Wea­ther resistant

For­ward FN is com­ple­te­ly water­pro­of and has IPX7 water pro­tec­tion. The device works in pre­ci­pi­ta­ti­on of any inten­si­ty and sur­vi­ves brief submersion.

Ope­ra­ti­on at low tem­pe­ra­tures — pos­si­ble down to minus ‑25°C to 50°C.

Video and sound recording

With the built-in video recor­der, pho­tos and vide­os of the hunt can be made, even with sound through the inte­gra­ted micro­pho­ne. Images and vide­os are stored in inter­nal memo­ry and can be trans­fer­red to cell­pho­ne or lap­top via Wi-Fi or cable.

Conversion of a daylight rifle scope into a night vision scope

Adap­ters of dif­fe­rent dia­me­ters are pro­vi­ded for moun­ting on the lens of the rif­lescope. The adap­ter remains fixed on the scope lens. This allows For­ward F to be quick­ly moun­ted in front of the rif­lescope lens and used for night shoo­ting. The adap­ter also ser­ves as a pro­tec­ti­ve cover (included in the scope of deli­very) for the objec­ti­ve lens when the attach­ment is not in use.
