The Axion 2 thermal imagers use a new approach to image optimisation that provides a high quality rendering of the target as well as the background, depending on the purpose and conditions of the observation. Three levels of signal amplification combined with a linked smoothing filter and fine-tunable brightness and contrast settings provide the hunter with great opportunities to spot the animal at long range under different weather and temperature conditions and to determine its trophy quality.

Up to 1750 m detection range
A powerful F35/1.0 lens combined with a high-sensitivity thermal imaging sensor offers exceptional shooting capabilities. A standard object of 1.8 m height can be detected in total darkness at a distance of up to 1750 m.
Pocket-friendly size and low weight
The Axion 2 has a space-saving pocket-sized design and weighs 300 grams. The symmetrical design and the arrangement of the buttons on the top make the device easy to hold and operate for both right-handed and left-handed users.
Lens F35/1.0 with large aperture
The F35/1.0 germanium lens offers high transmission in the long wave infrared (LWIR) range. Thanks to the high-precision manufacturing of the lens’ optical elements, the image produced by the Axion 2 thermal imager’s sensor is characterised by its clarity and detail.
Variable magnification
The digital zoom provides improved sharpness and better recognition of an object at long distances. The zoom can be adjusted either gradually in 2x increments or continuously for a truly optimal field of view tailored to the situation.
Built-in photo and video recorder. Free 16 GB cloud storage
The Axion 2 has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Axion 2 can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One press of a button is all it takes to photograph an interesting subject or start a video recording. The recordings are copied to a computer hard drive via a USB‑C connection. The Axion 2 owner has 16 GB of storage space available to store photos and videos taken with the device in the Pulsar Cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in and connect the unit to a smartphone via WiFi.
Remote control via smartphone and software update with the Stream Vision 2 app
Built-in WiFi connects the Axion 2 to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, opening up a wide range of possibilities such as wireless software updates to the device, real-time image transfer from the device to the smartphone screen, publishing photo and video content captured with the device to social media or transferring to messenger apps, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Registered users also receive 16GB of cloud storage for photos and videos taken with the device.
Quick start-up
The Axion 2 is characterised by a short switch-on time: After pressing the ON button, the unit is fully functional within 5 seconds. The quick start function helps to save power: the Axion 2 does not need to be kept switched on all the time when hunting, but can be switched on quickly when needed.
Extended battery life. Up to 11 hours on one battery charge
A high capacity rechargeable APS5 battery allows the thermal imager to operate continuously for 11 hours on a single charge. The battery is removed from the battery case in seconds and replaced with a new one. The battery is charged in a dedicated device or inside the unit from a PC, mains power system or power bank via USB‑C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of a thermal imager.
A selection of 8 colour palettes
A choice of 8 colour palettes allows users to better observe their field of view, optimise the device for specific tasks and respond to changing viewing conditions. White-Hot, Black-Hot and Red-Hot are optimal for single object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of detection and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best for long observations at night.
High contrast AMOLED screen
The high-contrast AMOLED screen has improved colour reproduction, is power-efficient and responsive, and delivers sharp and smooth images even in freezing conditions.
Waterproof according to IPX7
Waterproof to IPX7 for protection against heavy rain, snow or other moisture exposure. The unit is designed to function properly even when submerged in water up to 1 metre deep for up to 30 minutes.
