The opti­cal design of the Mer­ger LRF bino­cu­lars is tail­o­red to the natu­re of human visi­on. Natu­ral­ly, a per­son takes in infor­ma­ti­on from see­ing through two visu­al chan­nels at the same time. See­ing with two eyes is less tiring than see­ing with one eye. This means bet­ter detec­tion of small or faint objects and bet­ter per­for­mance in low-con­trast sce­na­ri­os than com­pa­ra­ble ther­mal mono­cu­lars of the same tech­ni­cal level.

The eye reli­ef of the Mer­ger LRF bino­cu­lars is adjus­ta­ble from 62 to 74mm to cus­to­mi­ze it to the needs of each user.

High-resolution thermal imaging camera with built-in precision laser range finder

The built-in laser ran­ge­fin­der with a ran­ge of up to 1 kilo­me­ter lets you mea­su­re the distance in sin­gle mea­su­re­ment and con­ti­nuous scan­ning modes with an accu­ra­cy of ± 1 meter — for cal­cu­la­ting the pre­cise distance of the target.

When obser­ving under con­di­ti­ons with the lowest tem­pe­ra­tu­re con­trast as well as in rain or fog, a high­ly sen­si­ti­ve sen­sor with 25 mK NETD also detects only very small tem­pe­ra­tu­re dif­fe­ren­ces. The reso­lu­ti­on of 640x480 pixels ensu­res relia­ble iden­ti­fi­ca­ti­on of the target.

Varia­ble magni­fi­ca­ti­on from 2.5x to 20x

Up to 8x digi­tal zoom pro­vi­des impro­ved sharp­ness and bet­ter reco­gni­ti­on of an object at long distances. The zoom can eit­her be adjus­ted in 2x steps or con­ti­nuous­ly for a real­ly opti­mal field of view tail­o­red to the respec­ti­ve situation.

Robust magne­si­um alloy body

The Mer­ger LRF is desi­gned for con­stant, often tough use. The magne­si­um alloy body is light and strong at the same time. The housing relia­bly pro­tects the inter­nal com­pon­ents of a ther­mal ima­ging device against shock, fal­ling, mois­tu­re, heat or cold. At the same time, the metal housing dis­si­pa­tes heat from the elec­tro­nics, mini­mi­zes image noi­se and increa­ses the ope­ra­tio­nal sta­bi­li­ty of the device during long-term observations.

Built-in pho­to and video recorder

The Mer­ger LRF has a built-in video recor­der. The Mer­ger LRF’s inter­nal memo­ry can store hours of video and tens of thou­sands of pho­tos. One push of a but­ton is enough to take a pic­tu­re of an inte­res­t­ing sub­ject or start a video recor­ding. The recor­dings are copied to a com­pu­ter hard dri­ve via a USB‑C connection.

The Mer­ger LRF owner is pro­vi­ded with 16GB of sto­rage space to store pho­tos and vide­os cap­tu­red with the device in Pul­sar cloud sto­rage. Just install the Stream Visi­on 2 mobi­le appli­ca­ti­on, sign up and con­nect the device to a smart­phone via Wi-Fi.

Impro­ved Wi-Fi con­nec­ti­vi­ty with 2.4 / 5 GHz band support

With the Mer­ger LRF, the fre­quen­cy ran­ge of the stan­dard smart­phone con­nec­tion is sup­ple­men­ted by an effec­ti­ve 5 GHz ran­ge via a 2.4 GHz WiFi chan­nel. The 5GHz con­nec­tion pro­vi­des bet­ter band­width, fas­ter data trans­fer rate, noi­se immu­ni­ty and impro­ved con­nec­tion sta­bi­li­ty, resul­ting in more pro­duc­ti­ve and easier ope­ra­ti­on of the ther­mal bino­cu­lars with a smartphone.

High-con­trast HD AMOLED screen

The new AMOLED dis­play with an HD reso­lu­ti­on of 1024x768 offers impro­ved color repro­duc­tion, eco­no­mic­al power con­sump­ti­on, high con­trast and fast respon­se time, pro­vi­ding clear and smooth images when obser­ving on the move or in the cold.

A choice of 8 color palettes

A choice of 8 color palet­tes allows the user to bet­ter obser­ve their field of view, opti­mi­ze the device for spe­ci­fic tasks and react to chan­ging obser­va­ti­on con­di­ti­ons. White-Hot, Black-Hot and Red-Hot are opti­mal for detec­ting an object, Rain­bow and Ultra­ma­ri­ne increase the chan­ces of detec­tion and iden­ti­fi­ca­ti­on. Red Mono­chro­me, Sepia and Vio­let are best for long night observations.

Water­pro­of to IPX7 with a wide tem­pe­ra­tu­re range

Water­pro­of to IPX7 to pro­tect against hea­vy rain, snow or other types of mois­tu­re. The device is desi­gned to func­tion pro­per­ly even when sub­mer­ged in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.

The housing, power sup­p­ly, optics and elec­tro­nics of the Mer­ger LRF are desi­gned for appli­ca­ti­ons in a wide tem­pe­ra­tu­re ran­ge. The Mer­ger LRF ensu­res relia­ble and effec­ti­ve per­for­mance in free­zing cold down to ‑25°C.

Remo­te con­trol via a smart­phone and soft­ware update with the Stream Visi­on 2 app

The inte­gra­ted WiFi con­nects the Mer­ger LRF to Android and iOS smart­phones via the Stream Visi­on 2 mobi­le appli­ca­ti­on. This opens up a multi­tu­de of pos­si­bi­li­ties, such as: B. wire­less soft­ware updates of the device, real-time image trans­mis­si­on from the device to the smart­phone screen, pos­ting pho­to and video con­tent taken with the device on social media or trans­mis­si­on to mes­sen­ger appli­ca­ti­ons, remo­te con­trol of digi­tal device func­tions and access to the latest news from Pul­sar. Also, regis­tered users get 16GB of cloud sto­rage for pho­tos and vide­os cap­tu­red with the device.
